TELL OF GOD'S GOODNESS

“As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis[b] how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.”

Mark 5:18-20

Mark 5 recounts the story of the demon-possessed man delivered of a legion of demons by Jesus; although he begged to go on with Jesus, Jesus told him to go to his own people and tell what the Lord had done for him. Some time later, Jesus returned to this area known as the Decapolis and crowds of people came to hear Him, likely because of the testimony of this same man. Though it is easy to revel in success, in healing, in deliverance, Jesus wants us to be fruitful and multiply. Day by day as God works in our lives, we can also share effectively with more and more people so that Jesus becomes known and worshiped throughout our communities. Press forward and keep sharing God’s goodness with all you can.

Disciple's Prayer:

"Father, do the work in me that I think is impossible. Transform my heart to be more and more like Yours so that my life on earth brings You glory. Make me an effective witness to the good news of Jesus Christ! Help me keep sharing with more and more Your goodness and love so that there is no place left and no one who has not had a chance to hear in a way they can understand and respond. Abundant gospel sowing must be my passion; direct me in creative ways to seek and save the lost as You did. In Jesus’ name I pray! Amen!"

Unreached of the Day's Prayer:

"Father, look down with love and grace on the Somali in the UK. They need Your love and peace. They need to see Your light shining among them. Father, thrust out more than enough laborers throughout the Somali in the UK who share effectively with many people the good news about salvation. Multiply fellowships of Jesus followers in every corner of their communities. May the United Kingdom be transformed so that Your Kingdom is coming and Your will being done more and more in every people for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
