"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."

James 4:10

It is not our job to lift ourselves up, that is God's privilege. Our only task is to humble ourselves before Him and surrender our own will for His. Take a few moments today to come before the throne of God’s always new grace and ask God to show you any area in your life or ministry in which you need to humble yourself. Then, ask Him for the grace to bow low and lift Him and others up above yourself. This is what love looks like, to seek the higher good for others in our lives. Ask the Holy Spirit to do the work only He can in your heart today.

Disciple's Prayer:

"Father, I want to be more and more like Jesus. Teach me, Father. Give me the bread of life and let me drink deep of the living waters that flow from Your throne. I long to know You with my heart, not just with my head. I want to hear Your still, soft voice speaking to me. Show me the way I am to walk today! And give me the grace to walk in it. May I be Your servant leader to guide others in humility and grace. In Jesus’ name I cry, Amen!"

Unreached of the Day's Prayer:

"Father, I come before Your throne of grace and humble myself today. I stand in the gap for the Dhodia peoples of India who have yet to hear Your name spoken to them. God, would You do what You always do and make a way for them to find You? Pour out Your Holy Spirit today! Shine, Jesus, shine! Let Your love be known by them today. Ignite multiplying movements for Your name that spread to the rest of the nations. May humble servant leadership characterize the believers among the Dhodia for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!"
