"Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow’"Luke 19:20-21
Today consider your time and abilities as your talent. How are you spending it to increase the kingdom of God on the earth? Ask God to show you how you can further His kingdom. Turn off your phone or TV and step aside to a quiet room to say a prayer for the lost of the world. Give God your time and watch what He will do with it. There is that old saying, "A journey of one thousand miles begins with one step." Ask the Holy Spirit to enable you to take one step toward sowing the Word of God and the good news of the gospel generously today. Ask Him to turn your one step into two. And then ask that those steps keep going and never end.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I long to please You. I long to rest in You and from that rest share You with the world around me. I want to be a child of prayer, a child of Yours that walks and talks with You. Teach me new things today and open the eyes of my heart to Your will and ways. Let me spend and be spent abundantly for Your glory."”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, the Lebanese Arab in Turkey need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and the salvation that comes from trusting Him as savior. Father, raise up laborers who use all their talents to work among these people. Send out many men and women from around the world and from among this group to build Your kingdom here. Let these people come to follow You and then go out themselves among other nations as missionaries and workers. As they sow abundantly, let abundant harvests result for Your glory."
