ACCESS BI-VOCATIONAL MINISTRY

”God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them."

Hebrews 6:10

This week’s Church Planting Movement principle is: Access Bi-Vocational Ministry. One of the most wonderful gifts that God has given man is the ability to work the “fields” of this world to bring forth a harvest. In Acts 18:3-4, we read: “…and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them. Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.” Paul’s vocation was a tentmaker by trade and he continued to ply this trade as he preached the gospel in that city where he was sent. As you go out to your “ripe harvest field,” ask God to show you what skills or vocations you have that you can continue to use to position yourself to be a blessing to your family and to those to whom you are sent. Ask the Lord to give disciples in unreached areas creative ideas for making money to provide for their families, while also giving them access to new people and the flexibility to continue making disciples. This week, focus on asking God to make clear to you all the gifts He has given you to use to bless the world in which you live. Everything is worship, so choose this week to glorify God with everything your hands find to do and do those things as unto the Lord as an act of worship to Him.

Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.
