CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."

Galatians 2:20

When we accepted Jesus into our hearts, we were crucified with Christ. Our old selves died and now it is no longer us who live but Jesus Christ who lives inside us. And for Jesus to live in us, it means that we live for Him. It means that everything we do should be motivated out of becoming more like Him. It means that the life we live in our flesh, until we die, is meant to radiate Jesus's life and love to those around us.

We are meant to live by faith in Jesus, the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself up for us. Jesus directs our choices from moment to moment. He sits on the Throne of our hearts now, not us. As you practice abiding in Him, when faced with decisions throughout the day, simply turn your heart toward Him and ask, “What now, Jesus?” Then, obey His direction to you. Step by step, one step at a time, He leads us.

Disciple's Prayer:

"Father, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins and to live in me. Teach me about the cross I'm to daily carry for you. Make my life worthy of the cross of Jesus Christ and let me share the good news of the gospel with those around me."

Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:

"Father, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the Afshari Muslims in Iran. Teach us how to pray for the Afshari. Send forth workers into the marketplace and neighborhoods of the Afshari Muslims to share the love of Jesus with them. Help believers to lay down their own expectations of what it means to be a neighbor and to relate to the Afshari in a way that they will be open to hearing the good news of Jesus."
