"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Colossians 3:23-24
God Himself is at work and He invites us into the work of His Kingdom. Our vocation can be a bridge for the gospel into the lives of others. Whatever God directs you to do, work at it with your whole heart since you are working for Him, your Audience of One. God provides for us abundantly in many ways—He also uses the work of our hands as one of those ways. Through our vocation, God allows us to touch the lives of others and share the gospel. We thereby model kingdom living, being honest and generous and trusting God for our supply. We have the joy of working with God, and, how amazing is it that God also promises an inheritance from the Lord as a reward!
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I want everything I do to bring Your Great Name glory and honor and praise. Help me focus on serving You in all I do. Thank You for always providing for me abundantly! Help me model kingdom living to those with whom I work and to those I serve with my work. When I'm weak, help me draw from Your strength. Jesus, remind me that I can do all things through You who gives me strength. Empower me to multiply disciples through the vocation You entrust to me for Your glory.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, the Iraqi Arabs in Egypt need You, Jesus. They need Your love and Your mercy. Jesus, You said that if You were lifted up, then You would draw all men to Yourself. Today, I ask that You would be lifted up over these peoples and show yourself as the One True and Living God today. Direct Your laborers to use their vocational gifts to model kingdom living to show forth Your praises. Open doors for the gospel through the work done to Your glory by our sisters and brothers among this group. Multiply flourishing fellowships of believers here."
