LOOK FOR OPEN DOORS

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

Matthew 7:7

This week’s movement principle is: Look for Open Doors. God is the One who opens doors no man can shut and closes doors that no one can open. This week consider the sovereignty of God as you go out to plant churches. Ask God to open doors of opportunity to share the gospel and ask Him to close doors that are the wrong ones. There are many ways Christians face open and closed doors, some doors are closed because of warfare from the opposition and some are closed because God is leading you in a different direction. Through prayer, you can ask God to help you discern the open doors from the closed doors. Followers of Christ are often brought before kings and rulers as another way God may open the door. Remember Paul going to Rome before Pilate and Festus? Ask the Lord to lead disciple-makers to households who open their homes and their larger communities to the gospel.

Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.

PRAYER FOR JEWS, ISRAEL, & ONE NEW MAN: Glorify God with One Mind and Voice

Holy Spirit, empower Jew and Gentile alike to be of the same attitude and mind toward one another together glorifying You.

Romans 15:5-6 “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

PRAYER FOR WORLD IN CRISIS: Power of God Revealed

Precious Jesus, reveal Your life in our sisters and brothers as they walk through every challenge, so that it is clear this power is from You and for Your glory.

2 Corinthians 4:7-11 “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.”
