"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God."1 John 4:7
Love means to consider others’ needs higher than your own. This is true, godly love and can be clearly understood in 1 John 4:19: "We love because He first loved us." God loved us first and put our need for salvation and redemption before His need for justice and poured out His mercy and grace through Jesus Christ on the cross. This was, is, and will always be the greatest expression of God's eternal love for us. He desires this family of affection to walk in love with one another and with Him. Today, think about how much God loves you and think about how God's love is poured out in your heart so that you can in turn pour out to those around you. Ask God to increase your love for Him and others. Let His love become a spring of living waters pouring out from you to the world.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, thank You for accepting me into Your eternal family. Thank You that You are with me always and I am never alone. I praise Your holy name today. I worship You as God alone! I bless what You are doing in my life and I bless what You are doing in the lives of my family members, friends, and others today. I ask that I could be a part of that blessing to others around me. Help me live as a part of Your family of affection, loving others as You love me. Help me be fruitful in sharing that love with others that join Your family too. In Jesus name, Amen.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, thank You in advance for the many salvations of the Sikligar (Hindu traditions) peoples of India. God, You alone see their hearts and know how to draw each one to You today. Raise up more than enough laborers that love as You love and draw many to know and follow You. Multiply fruitful disciples expanding Your family of affection to all peoples in every place. For the glory of Your great Name! In Jesus’ name I ask, Amen."
