"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,"
Ephesians 2:19
As a follower and believer in Jesus Christ, you are now truly and forever a beloved member of the Body of Christ, the family of the Living God. Fellow followers are your mother and brothers and sisters. Think about it: in Christ, you are part of the greatest family on the whole earth! Notice the many “one another” commands and ask Holy Spirit to help you practice those well. You are no longer wandering this world as a stranger, but, in Christ, you are purposefully moving through your life's journey as a child of the Living God with brothers and sisters everywhere! What a bond is this! Today, ask the Holy Spirit to expand your understanding of this great, heavenly family of God and ask Him to show you your part in growing that family throughout the world.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I love You. I love Your Word. I treasure all the gifts You've given me. Thank You for the work You've given me to do on earth. Fill me with more and more wisdom and understanding of how to grow Your family of affection in Jesus. Help me love and serve my sisters and brothers in Your love and power. Empower me to continually practice the “one another” commands. Help me be Your witness and multiply others to go and do likewise.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, thank You for the gift of intercession and prayer. I thank you that I can come before Your throne and ask according to Your will and it will be done for me. So, I ask on behalf of the Kalota peoples of India that You would save them and bring them into our family! Lord, draw them, each one individually, to You today! Shine among them! Bring light and life to their hearts by your grace! Cause many image bearers to show forth Your praises among them resulting in much fruit today for Your glory. In Jesus’ name I ask and pray, Amen."
