"Follow me as I follow Christ."
1 Corinthians 11:1
So often in our religion-saturated churches we forget that our faith is relationship based. We are called into relationship with God and from that into relationships with others. Without a solid foundation of relationship with our heavenly Father we have no hope of having holy and meaningful relationships with other believers and those who do not yet know God. So today, take some time to evaluate your relationship with God. How much time do you devote to the growth of that relationship? How much of your life do you lay down to see your knowledge and love for God grow? And then, consider how your relationship with God pours out of you in love to those to whom He has sent you. You will reproduce what you model; we must be able to say with Paul, “Follow me as I follow Christ.”
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I want to model Jesus’ life to others. I want to model Your heart that is always giving and never holding back. I want to love as You love. I want to always give my time, money, energy, and every other way I can to those who you have given to me to love. I want to be able to confidently say, “Follow me as I follow Jesus”! Help me reproduce and release disciples that go and do likewise.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, You are infinitely good and filled with love. I stand in the gap today for the Northeastern Burkina Fulani peoples of Burkina Faso and ask that You would draw them to Jesus. Send true followers of Jesus who ignite multiplying church movements among them. Cause these workers to have generous hearts like Yours, that model Kingdom living and help their friends become like Jesus. Like the 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed the 5,000, please multiply disciples & fellowships more than enough for these beautiful people that You love. In Jesus name, Amen!"
