"Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."
Ephesians 5:15-17
This week’s movement principle is: Model To Reproduce. Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing. In this way the saying, “You become what you behold” is shown to us in Jesus' life and walk with His Father. And so Jesus taught us to look to Him as the Way, the Truth, and the Life, to model Him for those around us and those to whom we are sent. In Luke 6:40 it says: “The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.” So today ask God to continue to grow you up in the ways of righteousness so you can effectively model for others the life of Jesus. As it says in Hebrews 6:12, “We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” We will reproduce what we model. Pray that fruitful, effective movement DNA is modeled in, and passed down through, every generation of disciples and churches.
Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.
