“When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother.”
LUKE 8:51
This week’s church planting movement principle is: Move with the Movers. Luke 8:51 “When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother.” Luke 12:1 says, “Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying, “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.’” Church planting movement catalysts recognize in these verses a key principle. Abundant gospel sowing results in many responding at some level to the gospel. Certain people evidence interest but do not pursue God. The good can be the enemy of the best. Jesus focused His efforts on the few, though He preached and ministered to multitudes. God will guide us to focus eighty percent of our efforts on the twenty percent most fruitful disciples. God will guide us to release believers into the care of the Holy Spirit in order for us to move on to regions beyond where the gospel has gone. Pray that leaders will invest the majority of their time with those who are obeying God’s word (“move with the movers; don’t linger with the lingerers.”)
