ON EARTH AS IN HEAVEN

"…your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

Matthew 6:1

When Jesus instructed His disciples to pray, He taught them to ask ‘your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’ In Heaven, the Word of God tells us there is no longer any sin, mourning, sickness, pain, or grieving. We are to ask God for this on earth. As we proclaim the good news that Jesus has paid the price for our sin, we share that His kingdom comes with the promise of newness. Old things are gone and new has come. Part of the message of the gospel includes the rule and reign of King Jesus who has overcome not only sin, but sickness, bondage, and even death. Jesus told us we would do what He did and even greater things. As we have opportunity, proclaim the good news and the coming of the kingdom of God.

Disciple's Prayer for Today:

"Father, I come now to your throne of grace and ask that you would give me a supernatural boldness to go and to proclaim your kingdom come and your will be done everywhere I GO. I ask for grace when I don't share and fill me with wonder when I do and see you move and work. Fill me up so that YOU spill out to everyone I encounter.”

Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:

"Father, I ask that you would set free the Somali in Turkey. Break off the lies of the enemy from their hearts and minds and set them free in the truth of the gospel. I ask that you would raise up laborers to go out among them and plant churchs that multiply to more churches. Raise up a local army of believers among these people who understand the language and can share your message among their families and friends today."
