"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power."

1 Corinthians 2:4-5

Jesus sends us out, not in our own strength and power or authority but in His. We have His treasure in clay jars so that His glory shines out. As we proclaim His Word, we proclaim the coming of His kingdom in power. His partnership in and through us means that His power is displayed through us as weak human vessels so that He gets the glory. The faith of others then is in God’s power, not in us as His instruments. Speak the Word boldly, guided by the Holy Spirit, and then proclaim the coming of His kingdom, allowing His power to be demonstrated. Let Jesus’ Name be lifted up and all will be drawn to Him.

Disciple's Prayer for Today:

"Father, send me out... to my family... to my friends... to the clerk at the grocery store. Send me out to speak of you and to proclaim that the kingdom of heaven has come close. Let me boldly share the good news with those you send my way. Shine through me though I’m weak and show forth the glory of Yourself and Your kingdom. May others come to faith resting on Your love and power as a result. You are worthy of it all, Jesus.”

Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:

"Father, the Kurmanji Kurds in Syria need Jesus yet they have never heard. They need to hear the good news that Jesus died and rose again for them. Enable Your kingdom to be proclaimed and demonstrated among each of their towns and cities today. Open the doors of heaven above them and shine Your eternal light among them for Your glory. Multiply laborers and fellowships of believers that go out in weakness but in dependence upon Your strength. May the Kurmanji Kurds peoples’ faith rest solidly on Jesus’ power and may each of them in turn become fruitful disciple makers for Your glory."
