”But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."James 1:5
This week’s movement principle is to Participate in Strategic Planning. Lifting up our eyes to see as God sees gives us deeper understanding of the field to which we are sent. Spirit-led research then is submitted back to God as we wait on Him. He shows us what His Kingdom will look like once it has fully come in this particular field. God opens our minds to understand His divine strategy step by step. Two or three gathered in His Name experience Jesus in their midst. As they listen to God together, every joint supplies. Holy Spirit weaves together our hearts with His and unfolds next steps. We keep one another accountable to take the steps of faith God reveals. We lift one another’s arms in encouragement and prayer. We continually come back to God with obstacles which Holy Spirit can leverage to become opportunities for His kingdom. Proverbs 15:22 it says, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” And in Proverbs 24:6 it says, “Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers.” In Acts 16 the Holy Spirit guided the apostles in what to do next with strategies and wisdom. Jesus did nothing that He did not first see His Father doing. This week ask God what Strategic Planning looks like in your life and who you should ask to join you in these heaven-focused, wisdom gathering strategic sessions.
Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.
