"And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."Romans 5:5
Jesus told His disciples it was needful that He go away that the Holy Spirit might come. The very moment that we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and the Holy Spirit was given to us, we were also filled with God’s love and unending hope. Imagine if we are given such a gift, yet we ignore the resource and relationship opportunities we have with Holy Spirit! Let us learn more and more to relate to and to rely upon the Holy Spirit who was given to be our Comforter, our Guide, our Teacher to lead us into all Truth, and the Alongside One who is also called the Helper. Only through His abiding presence and power are we able to be His witnesses and to be fruitful and multiply for God’s glory among the nations.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, thank You for sending Jesus, Your only Son! Thank You, Jesus for salvation and for the gift of Your Holy Spirit who is my comforter and guide. Thank You, Holy Spirit, where I find my eternal connection with You, God. Show me today more and more how to relate to and to rely on Holy Spirit as I learn to abide in You continually. Illuminate Your Holy Word that I may better obey. Holy Spirit, sharpen my perception of Your voice; I want to know You more. Teach me Your ways; let me walk by Your guidance today and bear much fruit for Your glory.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, the Swahili, Barawani peoples of Somalia need You. Wake up believers nearby that recognize their need to hear the Gospel. Send out more than enough men, women, and even young people and children who share the gospel among them, planting new multiplying movements. Fill them with the wonder and joy of knowing You through Jesus. Allow both the workers and those being served to be led and empowered by Your Holy Spirit in all they do. Thank You, in Jesus’ name, Amen."
