"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13-14
Until we see Jesus face to face, we are on a journey, growing more like Him every day. When we sin or make mistakes, God can help us to learn and grow from those things. They become lessons which help us along the way. Our spiritual enemy wants to cause us to be bogged down in regret; Jesus offers His forgiveness and cleansing so that we can leave the past behind and press forward. Learn from your sins and mistakes by the Holy Spirit. Then, press forward to the goal to which God has called you.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I have such a great need for You today. Today, Lord, not yesterday or tomorrow, but today... in this very moment I need You to fill me with Your love and life and peace. Empower me to learn when I stumble, to receive your cleansing, and to press forward to the goal You have set for me by Your Spirit. Teach me your ways and help me hide your Word in my heart so that I can walk set apart and holy. Reveal Your more perfect way and empower me to walk in it. Keep me abiding in You that I may bear much fruit for Your glory. In Jesus’ name I ask, Amen.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, turn Your eyes toward the Kori peoples of India. To me they may be just a name and number but to You, You see every heart, mind, and life of these people. Lord, they need to know You and experience Your love! Send laborers into this harvest field and fill them with Your powerful Holy Spirit. Show them the way to share Jesus in ways that can be clearly understood! Ignite multiplying movements among them today! Help laborers especially be learning from their mistakes and pressing forward to the goal of Your Kingdom coming and Your will being done among the Kori more and more. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!"
