"And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Matthew 24:14
We, as children of God, long for eternity with God in heaven where there is no more pain nor suffering... but, first, we must finish our task on earth. Perhaps Matthew 24 speaks of wars, famines, plagues, and so on because those become opportunities for the gospel among those who have not yet heard. Consider today your part in the Father's will for this world. Ask Him to raise up and cast out people to work every corner of the fields; and, also ask if you are to go yourself. Ask the Holy Spirit to raise up more and more local believers in every people and place so that the gospel is preached in the whole earth. Ask Him to make you a living witness of the gospel so that those around you see the truth and put their trust in God themselves.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I want to be a witness to the world for you. I want to share the relationship I have with you with others around me. Send me and many others out into towns, cities, and countries to share the good news of salvation with everyone. Whatever crises may come, help me be prepared to seize those opportunities to be Your witness. Strategically place believers in every sphere and corner so the knowledge of the glory of God covers the earth as the waters do the seas.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, I thank you that you always hear my prayers. I thank you for and lift up the Chinese in Algeria. God, you are the only thing worth living for and I need you more and more. I ask that you would shine the brilliant light of your love among these people. Raise up local believers to be lights in the darkness. May every crisis be used as an opportunity to witness about Jesus with words and deeds of love. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done among these Chinese in Algeria for Your glory. Amen."
