"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Today's verse could be described as the most important verse in all of the Word of God for followers of Jesus Christ. Everything in this world is dying... everything is temporary in its nature... so today's verse tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and right-standing with God and everything else we need or could ever want will be given to us. When we prioritize God’s business, He makes it His business to meet our needs. God’s kingdom isn’t eating and drinking but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. There is fullness of joy in the presence of the Lord. Travel light and avoid encumbrances so that you can fully enjoy the journey through which God leads. Our obedience in this will result in great fruitfulness for His glory.
