Ephesians 4:16
Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone upon which the Church and the family of God is built. Consider how Jesus is the forerunner and example for us in our ministry and life. As we spend time each day in His presence beholding His glory, we become more and more like Him. Like Moses coming down from the mountain with his face shinning, so our face begins to reflect the glory of God. Jesus is adding to the Church daily those who are being saved; living stone by living stone, the whole body grows and builds itself up in love, our verse tells us. His life in us joins us and holds us together. Our focus as we work is on these living stones and our connection with one another and with the Head, Jesus Christ.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I want to see you clearer today. I want to know your heart and your thoughts. I want to do your will for my life. Today I ask that you would help me behold you and allow me to become more and more like you. I also ask that you would help me point others to you. Let me be a light on a hill shining brightly for you in this world. In Jesus name I ask, Amen.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, Here I am coming before you and humbling myself and asking that you would bring salvation to the Issa Somali in Djibouti. God, they need you and a deep relationship with you. Bring them into the family. Let them see your grace and your glory shining brightly among them. Strengthen those who are suffering for you there and call more and more workers to go and labor among them planting multiplying movements for the gospel."
