"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."Ephesians 2:10
Today’s verse is so wonderful! It says that we are God’s workmanship, His handiwork, and His prized possession. But even more, this verse contains within it our very purpose for being created, that is to do good works. And the amazing thing is that these good works have already been prepared! Amazing! They were prepared beforehand so that we could walk in them. Today, meditate on this verse and let its truths sink deep into your heart of hearts. God created you and prepared good works for you to do. You belong to God and have a specific purpose that only you can do. As you begin multiplying communities of Jesus followers that begin other communities, ponder these good works God prepared for you to accomplish for Him. These are your bread, the life-giving substance that sustains you, doing His will. As we multiply new believers and new communities of Jesus followers, our joy fills up and overflows because we are walking in the fullness of all God has created us to be and to do.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Oh Father, my Abba Daddy, I come to You today as a child, Your child, longing to know You more and more. Hold me in Your arms tightly and show me Your love. Open my heart to give that love out to everyone I meet with a smile and kindness. Let me be generous in doing the good works you’ve prepared beforehand for me to do. Show me the way and help me walk in it. Birth through me new followers of Jesus, new fellowships flourishing in Your Spirit and multiplying for Your glory! In Jesus Name I ask, Amen!”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, I long to praise You with my prayers and to see You glorified among the nations of the earth. God, the Central-Eastern Fulani in Niger need You. They need Your love and Your favor poured out among them. Send Your representatives who will share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. Send laborers to start multiplying church planting movements among them that would spread to the surrounding nations of the earth. Thank You God for listening to me. Thank You for answering this prayer of mine. I offer this in faith in Jesus Name, Amen."
