"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."Galatians 5:13
This week we are considering how sacrificially helping those in need is glorifying God and is essential to the Kingdom’s work around the globe. We cannot begin to serve God without personal sacrifice; we are set free to live for others. We are called to die daily to ourselves and live for Him by serving others. We lay down our hopes and dreams in this world to take on God's hopes and dreams as He builds His family. God’s love is inclusive and relational; He is longing for sons and daughters to come to Him in deep relationship. As we know Him more, His heart becomes our heart as well; we go out to humbly serve in His love. Ask God to fill you with His heart of longing to see people join the Father's great family.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father, I thank You for Your extravagant generosity to me. Thank You for saving me and sending Jesus to make a way back to You. You have set me free from all my sins and burdens so I humble myself before you and lay down all I have as an offering to You. May I use my freedom not to indulge my own desires but to humbly serve others, sacrificially and generously.”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, You created each one of the Madura peoples of Indonesia to be for the praise of Your glory. Pour out Your mercy among them; give each a gift of faith to believe in Jesus. Multiply disciple makers among them that effectively share Jesus and their own lives because of their love for You. Let your generosity be seen among them today through the power of your Holy Spirit living in your children among them. Bring each of them into a personal relationship with You. Multiply many flourishing fellowships that shine Your light for Your glory."
