GO OUT TWO BY TWO

”Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

This week's movement principle is: Go Out Two by Two. Throughout our lives we are tempted to go alone, to go without God and without our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. This important movement principle can be found in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: ”Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

Jesus sent out the 72, two by two and the Word of God says that when two or three are gathered in His name, then He is there in their midst. When two or three agree as touching anything, God promises they have those requests according to His will. God tells us let every matter be established in the mouth of two or three witnesses. When we go out with a partner, God provides encouragement, accountability, protection, and confirmation of direction through this teamwork.

Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Pray for God to connect each member with another called alongside in their assignment. Intercede that as we follow God’s strategy, we discover increased fruitfulness for His glory.

PRAYER FOR THE JEWS, ISRAEL, AND ONE NEW MAN:

Jesus Followers Walking Worthy

Lord Jesus Christ, fill Jesus followers with God’s will, wisdom and understanding to live lives worthy of Him and to bear fruit in every good work.
Colossians 2:6-7 “Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.”

PRAYER FOR WORLD IN CRISIS:

Rest from Burdens

As our sisters and brothers take Your yoke upon them, Jesus, we ask that they receive from You rest from their weariness and refreshment which enables them to carry out Your good and perfect will in the middle of trials of all kinds.

Matthew 11:28-30  ”Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls, for My yoke is easy, and My load is light.”
