"Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6
As a follower of Jesus Christ, God is our Father and He is such a good, good Father. Ask God to train you and to raise you up in His ways so that when you have lived longer, you will continue in those ways. All of the life of a Christian is founded by God and in the power of the Holy Spirit by faith and prayer. So today, consider your prayer life, consider the time you give God in prayer for those you are serving and trying to train and release. Ask God to give you His heart of Fatherhood toward the people in your life. Train them up in God's ways and then release them to go train up others. This is the core of the multiplying movements.
Disciple's Prayer for Today:
"Father! I want to relate to You as a friend. I want to walk with You and hear Your voice so clearly. I want to live in such a way that others around me are consumed with the fire You've put in me. I want to lay down my own ways and follow Your ways. Train me so that I can then train others. Train me in righteousness. Train me in right-standing with you. Fill me up with light today and let me shine brightly in my family, among my friends, and to the ends of the earth. Empower me to train and release new disciple makers everywhere You send me. In Jesus’ name I pray! Amen!”
Prayer for the Unreached of the Day:
"Father, thank You for giving me the great gift of salvation and thank You for commissioning me to go out and make disciples of all men, teaching them Your ways. Lord, the Damania Sonar peoples of India haven't heard of You yet and need that great gift of salvation for themselves. Thank You for shining brightly among them today. Thank You for giving Your Son to save any who call on Your Name. Send forth workers to go and begin multiplying movements for you among these people today. Help them train well and release appropriately so that Your Kingdom continues to expand for Your glory! In Jesus’ name, Amen."
