TRAIN AND RELEASE

"instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,”

Titus 2:12

This week’s church planting movement principle is: Train And Release. In Acts 13:2-3 we read: “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ So, after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.” Church planting movements die when leaders cannot release believers to go off and start another house church… thus preventing multiplication. We as people tend to want to hold on to what we have gotten. But, as we go out to plant successfully multiplying movements for Jesus Christ, we must hold everything and everyone with open hands. We must train them up and then trust God as we release them to go and begin their own journey of ministry that God has called them to. “Train them up and then release them!” This should be written on the doorposts of our homes! The Holy Spirit is the master teacher--we can trust Him to guide and empower those who are growing in Him. Pray that movement leaders will release into new areas those trained in Church Planting Movement principles. Pray for growing networking and collaboration between various streams of movements and various parts of the Church.

Ask God this week to give everyone involved in church planting movements a sense of their connectedness to the family of Christ as children of God. Practice listening to Holy Spirit daily for where He is sending you to prepare His way.
