PRAYER FOR THE FIELD WORKERS - Monday: God of Love, we come to You in gratitude for the work being done through Samjana and our family of believers in Kathmandu. We praise You for the timing of this recent trip, which allowed them to stand with families affected by the flooding. Thank You for the gift that is helping meet practical needs and bringing hope to those in crisis.
Your Word says in Matthew 25:35-40 that when we serve "the least of these," we serve You. Let this truth be evident as Samjana and others care for those in distress, assessing family crises and sharing the good news of Jesus. May each act of kindness open doors for discipleship, strengthening churches across Nepal and into northern India, Bangladesh, and Tibet. As the church multiplies into approximately 2,000 communities, continue to develop leaders who faithfully pass on what has been entrusted to them. Let their presence be a light in dark places, bringing both comfort and the gospel message. We ask that Your Spirit guide them as they make disciples and proclaim Your name boldly. Your Word says in Psalm 91:11, "He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." May this promise surround every refugee and relief worker as they travel along difficult roads. Keep them under Your watchful care, Lord. Strengthen the teams that travel back and forth, carrying essential supplies and hope to those who need it most. Keep their journeys safe despite challenging conditions. The families in temporary holding centers face great uncertainty and risk. As they navigate these difficult days, we ask for their health and safety. Protect them from illness and the dangers of living in these conditions.
Your Word says in Psalm 91:4 that You "cover" us with Your feathers, that under Your "wings" we find refuge, and Your "faithfulness" is a shield. Be their refuge now. Watch over those clearing debris and repairing roads where hazards still lie hidden beneath the mud. Strengthen their hands and guard their steps so they may work safely without fear. Open doors for them to share about your Eternal love. Let Your protection be known to all involved. Shield them from disease, give strength to weary bodies, and let them carry hope into each area they clear. Your Word says in Jeremiah 29:11 that You have plans "to prosper" Your people, "not to harm" them, and plans to give them "hope and a future." May this promise be evident in Kathmandu as government officials, donors, and organizations come together to provide for these families. Let their efforts be marked by unity and compassion. Bring Mary and her team before city and country leaders so that she can proclaim the Good News and announce Your peace to the entire Natins. Guide and sustain her, filling her mouth with supernatural revelation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
PRAYER FOR THE FIELD WORKERS - Saturday: Most High God, we come to You for our brother Ram in Kathmandu, Nepal, and for the churches standing with families who have lost so much. These families are grappling with the loss of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. In this moment of sorrow, we ask for your joy and peace to come.
Your Word says in Isaiah 41:10, "fear not, for I am with you," and "I will uphold you" with My righteous hand. So may Your presence be their anchor amid the storm. Strengthen local churches and the Christian community there with wisdom and compassion. Grant them boldness to declare Your mercy and forgiveness to those You have chosen. Provide the resources they need to offer practical support, so that hope can grow out of despair. Walk closely with each family through this long journey of healing and restoration.
